Mayoral campaign management in Turkey

A mayoral candidate has to explain who they are and what they plan to do to an entire district or city. We produce the candidate film, short videos on each project, field coverage, social media and the campaign website with one team. Our campaigns in Darıca (2019) and Dilovası (2024) are examples.

Three layers of communication

Local campaigns work on three levels: the candidate, their projects and their presence on the ground. The candidate film tells the candidate’s story in their own words, with a main version of a few minutes and 30–60 second social cuts. Project videos explain each proposal: the problem, the solution and where it will happen. In Darıca in 2019 we explained 22 projects in separate videos, from river rehabilitation and a city park to a youth centre and a coastal road link. Field filming covers visits, youth meetings, rallies and invitations, edited the same day.

Social media and website

Accounts are run on a weekly plan with a reply guide agreed with the campaign team. The campaign website brings together the candidate’s profile, projects, videos and events.

Local election calendar

Under the Turkish Constitution local elections are held every five years. The last ones took place on 31 March 2024, so the next regular local elections are expected in March 2029; the Supreme Election Council (YSK) announces the exact date and calendar.

Rules and neutrality

Campaign periods and bans are set by Law No. 298 and YSK decisions for each election. Every item is approved by the candidate and checked by their legal adviser before publishing. We work for the client who hires us, express no political views and make no promises about results.

This is a commercial service we provide to our clients. Working with a candidate or list does not mean we endorse them, and it makes no claim about any election result.

Our election projects

Questions people ask us

Do you work during the nomination period?

Yes. Candidate films, portraits, a personal website and social media can be prepared during nomination; party rules for that period are checked with the candidate’s team.

How many project videos should there be?

It depends on the number of projects and the length of the campaign. In Darıca in 2019 we made 22 project videos; shorter campaigns can group projects by theme.

Does working with a party mean you support it?

No. We provide a commercial service to the candidate who hires us and express no political views.
