Drone filming in Gebze: plants, construction sites and events

We do drone filming for factories, warehouses, ports and construction sites in Gebze and Kocaeli. Before the flight, the zone, permits and owner’s consent are checked; if the weather is not suitable, the shoot moves to a backup day set aside in advance.

What drone filming is used for

  • Factory and facility introductions: the facility’s scale, surroundings and road links seen in a single shot.
  • Logistics site and port operations: vehicle flow, loading areas and maritime operations. Martrade’s heavy haulage film and ANKAŞ’s pilotage film are of this type.
  • Construction progress footage: progress is documented with footage shot from the same points at set intervals.
  • Industrial zone and area introductions: plot layout, infrastructure and shared areas explained from the air.

Drone footage can be delivered on its own or as part of a factory film or corporate film.

Pre-flight check: zone, permit, property and industrial zone approval

Gebze is close to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, so checking the location is the first step of every shoot. Before each flight we work through this sequence:

  1. The location is checked: is there an airport, military or critical facility, or dense housing nearby?
  2. The airspace status is checked; if a permit is needed, who applies and when is planned.
  3. Approval is obtained from the property owner or the industrial zone management.
  4. The shoot date is chosen according to the forecast, and a backup day is set aside.
  5. The take-off point, flight route and safety zone are set, and staff on site are briefed.

Weather, permits and a backup day

The schedule for drone filming depends on two outside factors: the weather and the permit process. If wind, rain or poor visibility make flying unsafe, the shoot is postponed. In zones that require a permit, the application time is added to the schedule. So we cannot guarantee an exact shooting date; we build the schedule with a backup day and tell you about any change as early as possible.

Indoor and FPV drone filming

In indoor spaces such as showrooms, shops and large production halls, a small FPV drone can capture smooth shots flying through the space. The 2-minute 37-second commercial we shot with a DJI Avata for Bellona Piranlar is an example of FPV use inside a shop and showroom. For indoor flights the route is planned in advance and the shoot is scheduled for the quietest hours.

Information we need from you for drone filming

  • The full address or map location of the shoot
  • Contact details for the property owner or the person in charge at the industrial zone management
  • Where the footage will be used: film, website, presentation or social media
  • Areas to show and areas not to show
  • Target date and, if relevant, the busiest hours of activity on site

Once we have this information, the location is checked and the permit status, backup day and scope are combined into one proposal.

How drone footage is delivered

The footage is delivered as colour-corrected clips or edited into a promotional film. Clips are prepared in resolutions and formats suited to the web, social media and presentations. Areas you don’t want shown are marked in the flight plan and kept out of frame.

Frequently asked questions about drone filming

Do you need a permit to fly a drone in Gebze?

It depends on the location. Areas such as airport surroundings and military and critical sites have restrictions; some spots around Gebze may need a permit too. That’s why the location is checked before every shoot. For the current rules, see the SHGM (Turkish civil aviation authority) page.

Who applies for the permit?

The quote states which permit is needed and who will apply for it. Approval from the property owner or the industrial zone management is handled jointly with your contact person.

What happens in rain and wind?

If the flight isn’t safe, no filming takes place and it’s postponed. The schedule is built with this possibility in mind from the start.

Can a drone be flown inside the factory?

In wide, high-ceilinged halls a small FPV drone shot can be planned. The route, line status and staff safety are assessed during the site visit; if it isn’t suitable, interiors are filmed with a camera instead.

Is the drone footage delivered separately or inside the film?

Both are possible. If you only want drone filming, colour-corrected clips are delivered; if it’s planned within the same job as a promotional film, the footage is included in the film’s edit.

Can regular shoots be done to track construction progress?

Yes. For monthly or stage-based shoots we fly from the same points and at the same angles each time; when the images are placed side by side, the progress is clear to see.
