Promotional film prices in Gebze: what do they depend on?

In Gebze and Kocaeli, the price of a promotional film is the sum of items such as the number of shooting days, film length, use of a drone and the versions to be delivered. This page explains how each item affects the price, the lines to look at when comparing quotes and ways to use the budget efficiently.

Items that set the price of a promotional film

Number of shoot daysDays on site; number of lines, departments or locations to film (the item that affects budget most)
Length and number of versionsLength of the main film; short, vertical or subtitled versions from the same shoot
LocationNumber of locations, distance between them, access permission and whether site safety training is needed
DroneAerial filming, airspace check, industrial zone approval and a backup day for the weather
Crew and equipmentSize of the camera, lighting and sound crew; photography on the same day
Script, voice-over, musicScriptwriting, voice-over language and the scope of music usage rights
Editing intensityMotion graphics, on-screen text, colour correction, subtitles and number of languages
Delivery scheduleA tight delivery date requires extra editing planning

Not every job includes all of these items. The quote only shows the items that apply to your project.

Example scopes: small, medium and large facility

A film’s scope can be described without giving figures. The three examples below show which items make the budget grow; the number of days and versions is settled for each job after the site visit.

  • Small-scale job: one location, a short main film and one short version for social media. No drone or voice-over; the story is told with on-screen text.
  • Medium-sized facility: a few production lines, a management interview, drone footage, a main film plus trade-fair and social media versions. Turkish voice-over and English subtitles can be added.
  • Large facility or multi-site company: several shoot days, locations in different cities, multilingual voice-over, motion graphics and a photo shoot. The 8-minute 2-second facility and infrastructure film for Gebze Güzeller OSB is an example of a long, multi-part film.

Why does a factory film cost differently from a corporate promotional film?

A factory film is shot in a working production area. Access procedures, health and safety rules, a shooting order tied to shifts and the industrial zone’s approval add preparation and waiting time to the shooting day. A corporate film shot in an office or store has fewer of these items; on the other hand, interviews, editing and motion graphics may take a bigger share. So even if the two films are the same length, their budgets are made up of different items.

How does using a drone affect the budget?

Drone filming is an item in its own right, but its effect is not limited to flight time. Checking the flight zone, applying for a permit if needed, getting the owner’s or industrial zone’s consent and keeping a backup day for the weather are also reflected in the budget. If the film and the drone are planned for the same day, the crew goes to the site once. Using an FPV drone indoors needs a separate route plan.

Ways to use the budget efficiently

  • Plan versions from the start. If short versions are planned at the same time as the main film, no extra shooting is needed; they’re prepared in the edit.
  • Put film and photography on the same day. If facility, machine and team photos are taken on the same day as the film shoot, no second day on site is needed.
  • Get the facility ready for filming. If tidying, briefing staff and entry permissions are done in advance, the shoot day runs efficiently.
  • Simplify the approval process. Gathering script and edit notes with one person reduces revision rounds.

Lines that should appear in a film quote

Whichever agency you get a quote from, make sure these lines appear clearly in the quote:

  • Number of shoot days and delivery date
  • Length of the main film and the number of versions delivered
  • Number of revision rounds
  • Usage rights for music and voice-over
  • Who keeps the raw footage
  • Whether VAT is included
  • Payment schedule

What to watch for when comparing quotes

If two quotes don’t have the same scope, their totals can’t be compared. First put the number of shoot days, versions and revision rounds side by side. Then look at VAT, whether raw footage is delivered and which channels the music can be used on. A quote that looks low may be low because one of these items is missing. Ask the agency about every unclear line and have the answer added to the quote. That reduces the chance of mismatched expectations once work begins.

What information is needed for a quote?

  • Purpose of the film and who will watch it (customers, buyers, job applicants)
  • Locations to be filmed and their approximate size
  • Target delivery date
  • A link to a sample film you like, if you have one
  • Need for a drone, voice-over or a foreign language

For factory and industrial zone jobs, the price is settled after the site visit. For service details, see the factory film, corporate promotional film and drone filming pages.

Frequently asked questions about promotional film prices

Why are there no figures on the site?

Two films with the same name can be very different in scope: one is a single-day shoot, the other a multi-location, multilingual job. A figure given before the content is clear would be misleading. Once the job is defined, the price and what it includes are sent in one document.

Is the site visit charged?

Terms for the site visit and quote are set out in the first call. For factory and industrial-zone projects, the site visit is how we calculate the number of shoot days accurately.

How does the payment schedule work?

The stages and dates of the payment schedule are stated in the quote. For larger jobs, payment can be split across the stages of the work.

Will there be extra charges after the job is done?

The quote shows all the work in scope. If the scope changes, for example a new location or an extra language version is requested, a separate quote is prepared for the change and carried out after your approval.

Can I get both a film and photos with the same budget?

If the photo shoot is scheduled on the same day as the film shoot, no extra day on site is needed, and the budget goes further than with two separate shoots. Photography is shown as a separate item in the quote.

Do prices include VAT?

The quote states clearly whether figures include or exclude VAT. When comparing quotes, we recommend paying particular attention to this line.
